The best Chinese food for your money in Chesterfield County Virginia. 5 STARS
I may need to try again, but this place is not so good as the reviews state. Pu pu platter was kinda disappointing to be honest. The portions are big but the quality not so great. Chester must have low standards for Chinese food although this place was better than another we tried.
Lovely experience there. Great taste food and friendly workers. Good job!!!!!
Run down slum.
Real fried rice... not the yellow stuff
Great food and quick service
Seriously the best Chinese place I've ever been to. I'd give ten stars if I could lol. If you're looking for quality Chinese food for a decent price, you won't be disappointed with them. Will be making this my regular takeout place!
Best Chinese food in Chester. Singapore chow mein fun is fantastic. Great little family run restaurant. Seriously I order here once a week and am never disappointed with anything I order.
Best black Pepper Chicken
Ordered lo mein and General tso . The food was hot however it isn’t great the General tso taste like old oil and was not spicy even I called and asked if they made it that way. The lo mein taste burnt and contained mushrooms even though I asked for it without. It’s cheap and fast but not the best.
Absolutely the best Chinese in the area! Great customer service. Fantastic buffet. Family run business; they go out of the way to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. Prices can't be beat.
I was hoping this place would be better... wondering if I just ordered some bad dishes but on the whole it was not good.Fried rice and wonton soup was fine. Steamed dumplings we're incredibly doughy, but the filling had good flavor. Chicken with Broccoli and Schezuan Crispy Beef were pretty bland, the beef especially had no spice whatsoever.Everything was piping hot when I picked up though!
Actually less than 1 star:( last three orders have been wrong. Ordered garlic chicken tonight got something?? Not sure what:/ very spicy full of mushrooms which we asked for no shrooms! Spring roll tasted like a salt lick. Totally disgusting meal. Been going here for years, no more they have lost our business. Everything went in the trash. Don’t waste your time or money.
Great food👌🏼 Hot and very fast. I would recommend it to everyone.
Not the best food but the service was alright.
I've been eating since I moved into the area almost 16 years ago. I love it. Hot, fresh & great portions
The people are very friendly but the food is not the best. It is very inexpensive and quick.
It's ok, but not what I expected after reading the reviews. Haven't been back, but maybe it was an off day. Probably won't go back, since we found a better place not very far away.
This is our go-to Chinese takeout place. Friendly service, good food, good prices. The vegetables are fresh and not overcooked. My favorite is broccoli and beef and pork fried rice. I usually get the combo which is the main, fried rice, and a spring roll for $8. It serves me for two meals - can't beat that for the money! Tasty ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Only Chinese take out I will eat from in the area. The restaurant itself doesn’t look renovated. The people are always friendly and I haven’t been disappointed with their food yet.
Unassuming little place with a kind staff and amazing food
Typical strip mall Chinese takeout. The food was what you would expect. OK but not the best takeout I have had. The lady who took my order was friendly. The store was worn looking so didn't look the cleanest. Reading other reviews I expected something better.
The food is tasty and comes in large quantities for a price you can't beat. I would suggest getting take out instead of eating in. Driving up, the surrounding buildings are closed and boarded up. The blinds in the window were at an angle and seemed to be broken. There was a brick on the floor under a table and it was hot (seemed to be no ac). They also serve lukewarm water from a cooler in a styrofoam cups. However the staff was friendly.
The food was not good at all, the dumplings were seriously doughy and the Crab Rangoon’s are oddly really sweet. The food was terrible but the service was good.
I recently ordered from here and the place reeked of odor, almost like a plumbing issue, and that’s what the food tasted like. I ordered general sou’s with fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll tasted great and so did the fried rice then I tried the general sou’s chicken, it tasted kind of bland at first but then after I swallowed it, I had this terrible taste in my mouth, almost just exactly how it smelt, and not only that one of the pieces of “chicken” had a bone in it!? I’ve ordered from here plentely of times and the food was amazing, but this time I was severely disopointed and lost all my appetite and threw my food away, I will not be ordering from here again.
Great food. Large portions for a good price. I have eaten at Chinese food restaurants all over the country and this take out is easily one of my favorites.
Best Chinese Restaurant in town!! Been eating here for years and it just keeps getting better!!! Great personable and friendly people!!
Great food. Missing the lunch buffet though. They recently quit doing it.
Pretty good. Wasn't expecting much and it is better than I thought. Order Boneless Spare Ribs and it came with egg roll and pork fried rice.
You never guess! This old strip mall, has such a wonderful little Chinese restaurant l. No it's not a buffet, but if you want a meal under 10.00, and your still hungry when you leave, then you need to see a doctor. The meal was great, hearty, if I'm back up this way I'll be visiting them again! worth getting off the interstate for!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy the full culture too, I sat and ate and enjoyed a 18th century Chinese film on their television
Great food for reasonable price, best in Chinese restaruant ever. The place is clean and people are friendly.
Great food
I’m want to give no stars. Today was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered lunch for myself and my coworker. As I was eating I found a hair in my food. About 5 minutes later my coworker also found a hair in his food. I won’t be ordering from here again.
We ordered sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was so over cooked that it felt like you were biting into a rock. We also ordered the Singapore Chow Mei Fun which was okay, but you could tell some of the ingredients sat in the freezer a bit longer than they should have. The egg rolls had a freezer burnt or just off taste compared to normal egg rolls. Overall, the service is good but the food is poor to mediocre quality from my experience. I will not be returning, as Triple 8 II is less than 10 minutes up the road and their food quality far surpasses that of this location.
Never had a problem and really nice people 👌
Kinda of a hole in the place, great food large portion and reasonably priced
Great hole in the wall place for Chinese food. Don't come for the ambiance. Also if food is cold on the buffet ask them to make more. Owners are friendly people.
coming from New York City and being a new transplant to Richmond my family and I are looking for a Chinese restaurant that resembles close to home. the first time we tried it my family was impressed so I tried it again a second time and they loved it still - needless to say it is our go to take out spot for Chinese food. I'm not surprised it's generally a hole in the wall type of spot that has the best taste am I experience. PS anyone from up North knows that crinkle cut french fries are the best.
Boneless spare ribs are always perfect. Do t confuse this location wth the one on Chester Rd next to Food Lion near 288 east on-ramp. 4 stars due o fact they don't deliver.
Nice chinese food
As these tiny Chinese places go, this is one of the better ones for sure. It may look like every other Chinese place but the people working here are super nice and the food was for whatever reason better tasting than most places I've been to. I got a qt of vege lomein last time I went and they gave me plenty of food, jam packed it into the container. This place sits a good ways off the main road, across a relatively big lot, it's a shame they have to put up with being hidden because the property manager refuses to keep the lot lights on at night.
This is a place I usually go to because it’s 2 mins up the street from me. I went there last Sunday to get food for my children and myself. As I’m eating my beef and broccoli, I chomp down on something hard and it was a fingernail! I called the restaurant and they told me to bring it in. I brought in the fingernail (which was clearly cooked in the food) and to my surprise, the cook became very nasty and rude to me. All I wanted was a refund of my food, but I was told to never come back (like I would go back to a place that isn’t sanitary). I called the health department on them the very next day to report this. I also still have a picture of the fingernail and I never received my $18.64 refund.
Good food at a great price. Very friendly. Downside is they don't deliver and the dining area in the restaurant isn't very appealing, so I will probably never dine in.
The nicest people there. Great prices and great food.
Fresh n friendly
At first glance the building needs a face lift. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food has great flavor and the genous portions were appreciated. All in all the the price of the bill was well spent.Triple Eight will not disappoint.
Used to be the best Chinese in Chester. :-(
The young family owners do a great job☺
Great food, Always hot and fresh. Prices are reasonable.
